Version 4.0

This program was written as a tool to try to understand the IWI file format.

It does a great job of converting IWI files to DDS files.  Most of the data you see in the window will not be meaningful or relevant to most of you and can be ignored.

Features:

• Converts almost all IWI files to DDS files (only 14 files from CoD2 won't convert, about a dozen from CoD4 won't convert. Look for an update.)
• Drag and Drop interface.
• DDS files go into same folder that the IWI files came from.
• Double click a file in the list to convert it. (If you have a default DDS viewer, it will also launch it.)
• Batch convert dropped files by checking the "Convert dropped files" checkbox.
• DDS image preview.
• IWI image preview.

Windows Explorer integration:

Right click an IWI file.  Select "Open With | Choose Program..."  Find "IWI_X_DDS" in the programs list and select it.  Check the "Always use selected program..." box.  Click "OK".  Do the same for a DDS file.

Double clicking an IWI or DDS file will bring up the image preview.

• Bug Fix: Would sometimes start up off-screen.  Now checks to see if it is off screen and if so, centers itself on-screen.

• Bug Fix: Some IWIs from CoD4 would cause a "Runtime Error" and crash.
